Sector: Data centres
Application: Server installation and maintenance
Equipment: Purpose-built 250 kg data centre lifter
Modern servers, storage arrays and networking equipment can be heavy, awkward and difficult to position accurately inside a rack. The task becomes more demanding in narrow data centre aisles and at elevated rack positions, where the load must remain supported and under control throughout installation or removal.
Using several technicians to handle the equipment manually can expose people to unnecessary strain while increasing the risk of contact with high-value hardware and surrounding infrastructure.
LiftRite developed a purpose-built data centre lifter with a safe working load of 250 kg. The unit combines a compact footprint with a stable load platform and a precision lifting mechanism, allowing it to move through confined aisles and align IT equipment accurately with the rack.
Ergonomic controls enable one technician to raise, transport and position supported equipment during installation and maintenance work.

The lifter provides a controlled alternative to manually handling heavy IT equipment. It reduces the number of people required for many lifting tasks, keeps the equipment supported during alignment and gives technicians finer control when working around racks and valuable infrastructure.
